On March 15th, Xiaomi will announce the global launch of its Series 12 flagships. You've seen what phones look like, for the most part. As seen in the leaked renders, the worldwide versions will only feature minor cosmetic alterations (eg the label on the back). SnoopyTech has provided another look at the film, this time sans the watermark. For the Xiaomi 12 series and Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G, the leakster also has pricing information for Europe. The latter was launched today in India, and we were unaware that it would also be distributed in Europe. Let's take a look at the Xiaomi 12 Pro first. It costs between $1,100 and $1,200, according to Snoopy, depending on your RAM setup. We can't conduct a direct pricing comparison because the Mi 11 Pro didn't make it to Europe last year, but the new Pro is pricey. The Xiaomi 12 is less expensive at 850-900 euros, but it still costs 100 euros more than the Mi 11 did last year with the same memory. If that sounds too pricey, the Xiaomi 12X is nearly identical, but with a Snapdragon 870 instead of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. That's a performance differential of two generations, but it also saves a lot of money compared to the 12X, which would cost €650-700. Of course, this assumes that the prices revealed are correct, although they look to be consistent with the pricing leak from last week. The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G will be much less expensive, costing between €460 and €500. |
