In September 2021, Xiaomi released the first Civi smartphone, which was a tiny mid-range device with a stylish design. Despite its fascinating specifications, such as 120Hz OLED, 55W quick charging, and a triple 64MP camera, it was never sold outside of the domestic market. A successor is on the way, according to Digital Chat Station. It will be a minor upgrade, with the main difference being the addition of a new Snapdragon 778G+ chipset. One of the changes is the SoC; the other is MIUI 13, which is likely to be based on Android 12. Everything else, including charging, cameras, display technology, and rapid charging speeds, appears to be the same. We wouldn't be surprised if Xiaomi kept the design as well. When compared to the non-Plus version of the Snapdragon 778G, the Snapdragon 778G+ offers a 20% boost in CPU and GPU performance. The Civi 2 will outperform its predecessor, but given the minor improvements to the device, we expect the impact on battery performance to be minor. |
